A keynote will open the conference program in the morning. Contributed papers in two parallel tracks will be presented in the late morning and the afternoon. A social event will take place in the evening.

The keynote speech will be delivered by Peter Knight. Peter is a Deputy Director, Head of Research Information and Intelligence in the Research and Development Directorate at the Department of Health of the United Kingdom government with responsibility for policy and delivery of research information and intelligence. Peter joined the Department in April 2010 having established the Research Capability Programme in 2008 that established a secure research data service now operated by the MHRA called the Clinical Practice Research Datalink. Prior to these roles Peter was a Managing Director and interim Chief Executive at Winchester and Eastleigh Health NHS Trust.

Contributed papers will be presented in concurrent sessions. The conference will close with a plenary including a question/answer session on the specification and an overview on the current development of DDI.

Side meetings will take place.


All conference participants (paper presenters, session chairs, etc.) must complete the registration process (including full payment). A separate page describes the details of the registration.

The registration will be opened on July 1, 2014 and will be closed on November 25, 2014.
