Conference Participants - Registration, Dates & Questions

  • All conference participants (paper presenters, session chairs, etc.) must complete the registration process (including full payment within the registration's deadline).
  • The registration is open from September 27, 2019 until December 4, 2019 (last conference day inclusive).

Access registration page at University of Tampere (TUNI) - Open until Wednesday 4.12.2019

EDDI19 conference registration is done at the University of Tampere. You don't need an EDDI account to register for this conference.

Overview of the pages at the TUNI registration system

1. START page

  • Here you get detailed Information on all Fees, Payment options, and Cancellation policy.
  • You can register for the conference at the currently valid rate (details see below).

2. DETAILS page

  • Here you enter your Personal Data (contact details and institution). You can also register yourself or one or more participants on behalf of your organisation.
  • Registrants will get a link in their confirmation email that allows them to modify their details (there is no login, but the link).
  • You can deny inclusion of name, affiliation, and email address in the conference participants list, to be distributed among EDDI19 delegates;
  • You can indicate Dietary Restrictions and choose Special Diet options, and choose your Dinner participation.
  • You can book Half-day Tutorials on Monday if desidered (see titles and abstracts below).


  • A summary show the details of your registration and the selected items for your final check.
  • You select at this page your Method of Payment: Finish Online banks, Credit cards and other payment methods, or Invoicing (Finnish participants only)
  • The blue credit card sign stands for all major credit cards.

4. external PAYMENT Method page

Depending of your choice of the payment method you will be led to the related bank form to enter your details.
A very simple and minimalistic payment screen will identify a credit card by its number.

5. READY page

  • After your payment is completed, you receive a confirmation e-mail of your completed booking.
    • If you payed via credit card or online banking, the mail includes also a link to the official receipt, to print or save it.
    • If the invoicing option was selected, it will be point to an invoice instead.

Note: Discount on the room rate
The promotion code for hotels with preferred rates are published at the page Accommodation of the EDDI19 website.
Such codes are not submitted with the conformation e-mail of your completed booking.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Where the registrant is unable to attend, and who is not in a position to transfer his/her place to another person,
then the following refund arrangements apply in congrunece with the details at the start page of the TUNI registration system.

  • Date up to November 1, 2019 penalty: 50 EUR
  • November 1, 2019 onwards: No refund
  • All cancellations must be sent in writing to Tampere University Congress Office by E-Mail: - Please, add "EDDI19" to your email subject

Registration Fees

  • Early booking conference fee (including conference dinner: 210 EUR - open 27.09.2019 until 27.10.2019 (23:59 CEST)
  • Regular booking conference fee (including conference dinner): 245 EUR - open 28.10.2019 until 26.11.2019 (23:59 CET)
  • Late booking conference fee (lunches and dinner not included): 245 EUR - open 27.11.2019 until 04.12.2019 (inclusive)

Tutorials and Tutorial Fees

You can book on Monday the half-day tutorials T1 or T2 in the morning and either T3 or T4 in the afternoon.
Fee is 30 EUR each
